ABOUT US

Established in 2013 under the direction and design of pioneering ecological landscape designer Darrel Morrison, the gardens exemplify how design based on native plant communities can restore biodiversity, strengthen regional ecosystems, and create landscapes of enduring beauty.

Through continued collaboration with Darrel the gardens have evolved and expanded over the years, deepening in ecological richness and complexity. The landscapes are managed using 100 percent ecological practices, without synthetic chemicals or pesticides.

THE NURSERY

The Round House Center for Ecological Gardens includes a developing on-site native plant nursery dedicated to growing from local ecotype seeds for use within the gardens and selected mission-aligned projects. The nursery operates under the guidance of our full-time botanist, ensuring thoughtful plant selection, propagation, and long-term ecological integrity.

While the nursery currently prioritizes the needs of the Center and select collaborations, it is expected to expand over time, with future plant availability anticipated. Those interested in potential plant availability or collaboration are invited to inquire through our Contact page.
